Tenant-powered performance
Tenant-powered performance (TPP) is about empowering tenants so they can effectively challenge performance and service delivery. It is about focusing on issues that are important to tenants, deciding how to measure performance on those issues, monitoring performance, and being able to demonstrate what has changed as a result.
Why is tenant-powered performance important?
The regulatory framework emphasises the importance of tenants being able to hold their landlords to account and to challenge them effectively about their performance.
In the current economic climate landlords will also need to work with tenants to get the most value out of the services they provide. Tenants need to be able to help prioritise where limited resources will be spent, and ensure any expenditure cuts minimise the negative impact on front line services.
We have also developed Quality assured scrutiny accreditation with the The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) and Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) to provide evidenced recognition for organisations working effectively on tenant scrutiny.
